Venice-Nice with FlyBaboo
I have been flying a lot this last September and October for work, but nothing deserves to be told to my readers as much as how good it was this flight from Venice to Nice.
The Company I’m flying with is called Baboo! I never heard of it before, but apparently it is the only one you can use to go to Monte Carlo from Venice.
The day before I normally tried to do the check in on line but they did not give me that option, which made me feel worried that this was going to be a crappy old plane and that I would have ended up in a terrible tiny seat.
Next day I go to the airport 1 hr and a half before the flight time but the check in kiosk doesn’t open until just 1hr before the flight. While I wait for the Kiosk to finally open I am thinking how idiots they are in this Company to make us wait that long and I feel pretty sure that I will not make it on time, considering how long usually lines for security are these days.
To my absolute surprise, I couldn’t be more wrong this time! This amazing Company from Geneve, Switzerland leaves actually on time: we were supposed to leave at 11.30am and we are leaving at 11.30am sharp!
One hilarious thing is that when we enter into the aircraft they are playing “Come on keep moving…keep moving” song and same thing when we get out. I guess they really care about time, which is a great thing for me!
The tiny aircraft is all white with red flowers: quite cute and original I would say.
It’s so small though, that I beat my head on the head lockers 4 times (yes, I’m one of those passengers that can’t seat for too long and needs to stand up and get something from the head locker): poor me, I’ll probably have a red bump when I get to Monte Carlo…maybe I won’t look as chic as I wanted to look today.
Anyway, I sit down comfortably (and I am lucky enough to have an empty seat next to me), they give me a bottle of Evian water right away (for free), then they come back with a lovely appetizer made with chick beans and cucumbers, they return again with a small panino with parma ham and finally a fruit dessert and a cup of tea (all for free and all in 25 min)…and wait it is not finished…there is even a lovely Swiss cioccolatino!!
Today this great Company demonstrated how it is absolutely not necessary to have people coming to the airport 2 or 3 hrs before the flight and make them feel so dead exhausted even before they even get to the plane. Baboo flights are not cheap, but they treat you like a human being and they give you some nice, healthy and lovely food even for just 1hr flight.
It is all perfect and all so efficient that I’m surely coming back again and suggesting this Company to everyone. Don’t mind paying at all if this is the treatment.
Merci FlyBaboo et vive la Switzerland Francaise! I’ll come back again soon!
