Chicago- Los Angeles

Jan 20th

AA flight Chicago to LA today on my schedule at 8.50am (very early for me!).
I have been better than ever in packing my staff for this 2 days trip. I'm becoming such a jet setter and professional flyer that I'm so proud of myself.
Checked in on line, packed light, all liquids in the plastic bag, LA guide to read in the plane, ballerina shoes (easy to take off for the security check).
Of course, once arrived at the airport I followed a business man at the security gate (there were no Japanese business man to follow as suggested in the movie “Up in the Air” but I thought that an American one on his 50s will do for today) and when we arrived at the security door he told me to go ahead as I was much faster than him in preparing my laptop and shoes and coat! Ops...totally forgot to take out my liquids from inside my luggage! To my surprise, noone noticed, they told me to have a nice day and they stopped for searching the American business man behind me! Maybe they did it on purpose just because he was too slow.
He didn't seem too happy about that but he kept his typical American self-control.

Next to my gate there is a flight to London leaving in 30minutes...uhmmm...very tempted to change my plans and go to London! The only thing that made me change my mind was that after all I'm going to the warm LA...not Alaska! Plus it's my first time in California e I feel happy to go there actually.

Got a good seat in front of the plane and noone is sitting in the immediate seat next to me: so great to fly on a Wednesday! I'm here comfortable with my lovely Louis Vuitton handbag (which is now my good companion when I fly) sitting on the seat next to me, my laptop in front of me, my orange juice and hand cream on the table..I can't complain, feel very good today!
LA I'm almost there and please stop raining! Yesterday there was a bad storm all over California and hopefully it will be better today.
I'm looking forward to some warm weather: icy Chicago managed to freeze my bones so much that when I do some stretching I feel them saying “crac” or some bad words in their own language.

We just passed Colorado I suppose ( I saw some nice mountains full of snow): Denver was my first destination in the US years ago...wonder if I'll ever go back there 1 day...Vail was really special, a bit like Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy!
But I sure prefer my current destination right now: LA! So excited to be there and looking forward to do some shopping in the nicest streets of this town!

There is only one big problem right now: I'm starving and there is no food in this plane, not even for purchase!
I should have brought sushi with me!
